Writing this month > Mar retroactively lol. This playlist thing started with me wanting to try to listen to new songs/artists each month, but I immediately failed that in February lmao. Anyways, not all of these songs are ~new~ but they are new to me. PUP I've seen around but this song came up on youtube(a lot of these artists have) for me and definitely needed to hear it in the new years. Ew, same story, I need to listen to more of Towa's music, its such an earworm in the best way. My Religion, I KNOW I HAVE LISTENED TO HIS MUSIC BEFORE but this particular song I haven't and I've been on a Higgs thirst run. Puscifer was recommended to me by a close friend and this was one of my favorites. tiger really I've been listening to for a bit, I believe this album dropped by then? so new song not new artist, same with Vienna Vienna. It's actually insane I hadn't listened to Pretty Odd or Folie until now. Slow Funeral is a new artist to me and I love her so much. Fionna Apple isn't new as I grew up listening to her but this year was when I fully listened to her on my own (and continued to repeat When The Pawn for months). Geese was another friend recommendation, I didn't fall for the psyop! just my friends. Circles and the rot//rot are both youtube recommendations. Waitress was an instagram blessing! Long time Bears In Trees listener but I know this song dropped in January. Strange New Places was another algorithm pull.

Dionysus - The Buttertones

This is where I failed the new songs enough for a playlist because the way I listen to music is fixating on a handful of albums and loop those. Blood On The Drums is one of my favorites of 5sos independent stuff, I've always admired Ashton as an artist. A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, Folie, Infinity On High and When The Pawn were my most listened to albums this month, I had a very normal february can't you tell? Car Failure is a local band I love and Start Waiting is one of my favorite songs of theirs, for a high desert band they have a very San Diego sound. Sun Kil Moon was another youtube recommended band and I fell in love with first listen. There was like a week I had Excitable Boy (album) in repeat. I started watching Jojo's with my roommate this month, were nowhere close to part 4 but I do love I Want You outside of JoJo context. Rest of the songs continue the yearn angst theme i had for february.

I was feeling nostalgic with older 5sos and this song was the one I ended up listening to the most even though it's not a particular favorite of mine. I was really excited for 4/13 and started pregaming a month early, I really want to learn Harlequin on the guitar eventually. spit it out was a youtube recommendation i listened too too many times. I had the joy of seeing my cousin's band Lucy Atlast again at their tour kickoff show, Jump Right On It is one of my favorites of theirs. I listened to Versailles more this month and haven't stopped replaying Faith & Decision since. I didn't realize I had I Want You on my playlist again but I'm not going to change it. I was listening to a LOT of the Beatles this month, but I thought the dichotomy of their I Want You and Savage Garden's I Want You is silly. Surprise more Folie a Deux and returning back to Vienna Vienna and Pretty Odd. Midwife was another band introduced to me by a close friend that I have fallen in love with. Once again the end of the month yearning trend (it's really interesting to see my mood habits through these playlists). Less frustration this month but back to domestic craving.

TRACKLIST:
2122 - Geese
Dance Yrself Clean - LCD Soundsystem
Sburban Jungle - Michael Guy Bowman
Enemy - Midwife
Enjoy The Silence - Depeche Mode
EVERYBODY KNOWS I’M SAD -MARINA
Other People’s Tongues - The Dan Mystery Band
KISS ME GOOD-BYE - BUCK-TICK
It’s Only Dancing - jeremy messersmith
I Want (To Take It Slow) - Spider Eats Moon
Act Your Wage - Sundae Best
Thinkin’ About You - Los Kombi
Paramount Blvd - A Bottle Of Something Unique
Golden Daydream - Jelly n’ Jam
Heaven - Mindless Dreams
Fangs III - Calyptra

Listening to more Cameron Winter but I've retired Heavy Metal in favor of 3D Country this month. Dance Yrself Clean is always a reset kind of song for me and April/May is usually my 'ok lock in for real' time of year, I blame spring. I made the yearly pilgrimage to see Michael Guy Bowman on 4/13(4/11 this year) so I had to put Sburban Jungle on here. Still in my recovering sad era so that explains the next few songs, dysphoria and general 'my body isnt working' kicking my ass resonates with Enemy. Tbh I put on Depeche Mode when I'm feeling it and well the MARINA song speaks for itself(even though I had plenty of wonderful moments this month). Other People's Tongues (and It's Only Dancing) were both recommended to me by a new friend and I enjoyed them alot! Both of them sandwiching KISS ME GOOD-BYE, very fitting for this yearning kinda April. Spider Eats Moon was another artist instagram led me too and I am so happy to discover, I love this whole album, but this song is one of my favorites. The last 6 songs are all local bands that I saw at a backyard festival and cannot stop following around and sharing, they are all so talented and nice people go listen to all their stuff now!!!
